Toriishi was founded in 1978 as a chicken shop. We purchase fresh whole chickens from contracted chicken farms around the country, with whom we have had close ties since our days as a chicken wholesaler. By splitting and skewering the whole chickens that arrive in the store, we are able to offer them at low prices as well as being delicious. We are committed to protecting the pleasure of the masses: yakitori.
We provide reliable products at low prices that are not only delicious. We purchase fresh whole chickens from contracted chicken farms around the country and quickly butcher them under proper management. You can enjoy chicken dishes that you can't find anywhere else.
In order to provide delicious yakitori made from fresh chicken at a reasonable price, we skewer the chicken by hand every day in the workshop on the second floor of our main store. We can confidently recommend our chicken because we skewer it by hand using carefully selected chicken.
The taste has been added to and maintained since the restaurant was founded. Toriishi's sauce has a unique mellowness. In fact, we purchase whole chickens, cut them up in the restaurant, and then use the resulting fresh chicken bones to prepare the chicken and simmer them thoroughly with the sauce. This unique taste is only possible because Toriishi has a route to Kashiwaya.

It won first place in the gold medal at the Tenmangu Tenjin food walking bar event "Ishoku Sokuhatsu PREMIUM 2014."
Although the skin is often eaten with salt, it actually goes great with sauce! It is thoroughly matured in Toriishi's special sauce!In addition, green onion mayonnaise and green onion egg have been newly added to the matured sauce grilled skin. The rich sauce is topped with mayonnaise and plenty of green onions. Please enjoy with egg if you like.
There are many ways to eat yakitori, but not all yakitori is grilled with salt. Toriishi sauce in particular goes perfectly with chicken. Based on our experience, we have decided on the sauce and salt grilling for each cut. Please feel free to let us grill the first piece of each cut.

This dish won first place in the gold medal at the Tenmangu Tenjin food tour bar event "Ishoku Sokuhatsu PREMIUM 2014." A single chicken thigh is grilled to perfection, resulting in a juicy dish. It is best enjoyed with Toriishi's signature sauce. It goes perfectly with draft beer.
